Basically due to the 21 days of lockdown almost everyone have started sharing the videos on whatsApp status and the step has taken to reduce the server traffic. WhatsApp has billion of users worldwide and more than 400 million users alone in india. You will no longer be able to upload videos longer than 15 seconds. The earlier limit for status video upload was 30 seconds.
No official annoucement has came from the company as of now but many users have comaplained that they are unable to post 30 second video status on WhatsApp, WABetaInfo, a platform that usually puts out the latest developments of WhatsApp on the public domain, has tweeted about the latest development.
“You can no longer send videos to WhatsApp Status if they are longer than 16 seconds: only videos having a duration of 15 seconds will be allowed. This is happening in India and it’s probably an initiative to reduce the traffic on the server infrastructures,” tweeted WABetaInfo.
According to the WABetainfo, some users might be still able to post videos having a longer duration. The change should be rolled out for more Indian users soon.

The move is a temporatily one and you will be able to post the full 30 seconds video status on WhatsApp once the situation gets back to normalcy. If you still want to post the 30 seconds video status on whatsApp you have to upload the status twice is two parts 15 seconds each.
