Xiaomi India recently launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro in India. Following the same, the Redmi Note 9S as the rebranded version of the Note 9 Pro launched in other global markets. But The Company did not launch anyone among these in the home country China. Notably, All three smarthphones are 4G smartphones and do not support 5G connectivity, That could be the reason Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max did not launch in china where 5G is the trend.
Yesterday a new Redmi device was popped on Chinese certification agency 3C — which according to the certifications supports 5G. We did not get any information about the name of the device but it is already being referred to as the Redmi Note 9 5G by some Chinese blogs and publications.
According to the 3C website listing, the new Redmi smartphone has the model number M2002J9E. The phone appears to have passed the certifications along with its charging adaptor with a model number of MDY-11-EM. The charger seems to support 22.5W fast charging technology.
The Listings doesn’t reveals any other specifications of the Redmi Note 9 5G, but as per the earlier rumors, the device could be fuelled by one of the MediaTek’s Dimensity series 5G processors. The high chances are that the company could use the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G chip for the Redmi Note 9 5G model, As the Snapdragon 765 could increase the cost of this device and Redmi Note 9 series comes mostly in mid-range price segment.
It Will be interesting to know at what specifications Redmi Note 9 5G will arrive in China and whether the device will come to India and other global markets. Well the device has received the 3C certification in China and it will be launched any time soon now.
