Redmi the Xiaomi Sub-Brand separated from Xiaomi more than a year ago and since then it the brand has been launching multiple devices that have been positioning themselves in the different segments and price ranges of the market. Not only smartphones, but Redmi is also launching Smart TVs, Smart speakers and more under the Redmi brand.
After teasing the Smart band yesterday, Redmi has officially announced the first smart band Dubbed as Redmi Band today in an event held in China.
The first smart band from Redmi features a decent 1.08-inch rectangular color display. The Redmi Band comes with a direct USB Charge option like we have seen in Recently launched Realme Band. There are more than 70 personalized dials available in Redmi Band so that the possibilities of customization increase. The band also comes with five sports modes and with an optical heart rate sensor. The battery of this Redmi Band lasts up to 14 days away from the charger, although these values always depend on how much we use it for sports activities with active measurement.
The design of the smart band somehow resembles that of Huawei / Honor Bands and the recently launched Realme Band and it is expected the Redmi Band will surely compete with Honor and Realme bands in the market.
The Redmi Band comes in multiple color options- black, orange, olive green and blue. Talking about the price the Redmi be crowdfunded for a price tag of only 95 Yuan ($13) from April 9, 10 AM in China. However, the actual retail price of the Redmi band will be 99 Yuan ($14) which is around 1060 in India.
