Redmi Band which was launched In China earlier this month as a part of Xiaomi’s 10th anniversary in China and Mi Fan Festival 2020. At the launch event, there was no word regarding the Indian launch. But now it looks like the Redmi Band is making its way to the Indian market very soon as the fitness tracker has already received the certification on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) in India. No official announcement has come out regarding the exact launch date, but we can expect the band to launch after the lockdown ends in India. Prior to BIS certification, the Redmi Band was also spotted at the Bluetooth SIG certification database with the model number HMSH01GE. Redmi Band is an affordable band with some impressive specifications at an affordable price point.
The certification was spotted by a prominent twitter-based tipster Mukul Sharma best known as @stuffflistings). According to Mukul Sharma, the Redmi Band has already received the BIS certification as well as the Bluetooth SIG certification. Getting the BIS certification is a requirement for launching any product in India.
