Just yesterday Realme GT 5G was just launched yesterday in China as the company’s first flagship of 2021. And at the same event Realme teased yet another model of the device, the Realme GT Neo. Realme GT which comes in with SD888 is the first device from Realme to be equipped with this flagship processor and Realme GT Neo Will be the first device to be powered with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.
A teaser showcased by Xu highlights the presence of MediaTek Dimensity 1200 on the Realme GT Neo. The flagship chipset was unveiled in January, and Realme was named as one of the first companies set to use it in upcoming phones. The Realme X9 Pro was expected to be one of the first phones to have the Dimensity 1200.
At the Realme GT launch event’s conclusion, Realme itself confirmed that the GT Neo will come running the newly-launched MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. Realme also dropped the teaser of the same This chipset was announced in January and is fabbed using the 6-nanometre architecture. The chipset uses one Cortex-A78 main core clocked at 3.0GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores working at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores that run at 2GHz. It is coupled with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. MediaTek said that the Dimensity 1200 is its most advanced mobile chipset so far, but that does not mean it measures up with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. It will belong to the budget premium category for phones with 5G.
