Realme has proven to be one of the top best competitors in India according to “Smartphone Buyer Insights Survey 2020”, made by 91mobiles reveals insights on current and future smartphone ownership, shifting brand loyalties, along with details on user research and buying behaviour.

Realme has been very aggressive in terms of its features, design, fast charging solutions, up-to-date technology and all that within an affordable price cap which really helped it gain huge popularity in very less span of time. Not only just budget segment, Realme has been rated the best in the budget flagship and premium flagship range as well with their Realme X series smartphones which were well received not only in india by in global market as well. Their strategic planning has led them to bump from 5% to 11% in its ownership share in a matter of one-year only. While other brand like Samsung, Vivo, Oppo and OnePlus also gained some share compared to previous year which is a good sign for smartphone brands, few other brands like Xiaomi, Motorola, Asus, Nokia and Honor saw a marginal decline in growth.

When asked about their next upgrade for their present smartphone, many user’s had their own choices and what came out finally is that many of them choose Samsung to be their first preference as their brand preference with 23.7% votes, while Xiaomi and Realme stand next in the row with 19.9% and 16.3% respectively.

When it came to the which brand users want to upgrade to next, the analysis from the acquired responses show that the brand which gained a lot of mindshare is Realme interestingly, with a larger percentage of 10.4% growth which is more than the rest comparatively. Their diverse growth has really helped Realme in gaining such a huge positive response among the consumers and to keep it going they show be delivering more reliable services and bring affordable devices with good performance and industry leading best features.

“The survey was conducted via Google Forms, and distributed via the 91mobiles website and social channels. Over 15,000 smartphone users responded, with about 72 percent being male. About 35 percent are below the age of 24, while 34 percent are aged between 25 and 34. 19 percent respondents are aged between 35 and 44, while 12 percent are over the age of 44. In terms of the region-wise split, 36 percent respondents are based in North India, while 27 percent reside in the West, 22 percent in the South and 15 percent in the East.” stated team91 in their blog.
