HONOR had an event yesterday in China and there they have announced a couple of devices and HONOR Play 9A was one of them. They have announced HONOR 30s and Kirin 820 5G SoC as well. HONOR Play 9A is the successor of HONOR Play 8A which was announced last year. The HONOR Play 9A features a 6.3-inch HD+ Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and powered by Octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset paired with 4GB RAM plus up to 128GB of internal storage.
This time HONOR came with a new refresh design for its budget phone compare to last year’s HONOR Play 8A and the camera placement has seen a refresh too. HONOR Play 9A comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that wasn’t there in HONOR Play 8A.
HONOR Play 9A sports dual rear camera with 13MP primary and 2MP depth sensor. The phone comes with an 8MP selfie shooter. It runs on Android 10 with HONOR’s own Custom UI Magic UI 3.0.1 on top. This phone doesn’t support GMS because of the current war between Google and HUAWEI. The phone packs a massive 5000mAh battery.
