Smartphone chip maker MediaTek announced it’s latest 5G processor named Dimensity 820. It’s a midrange 5G processor built on 7nm manufacturing process. It’s an Octa-core chipset which features 4 powerful cores clocked at 2.6Ghz based on latest ARM Cortex A-76 architecture and 4 power efficient cores clocked at 2.0Ghz based on ARM Cortex A-55 efficient cores. It features five-core MALI G-57 GPU.
The highlights of the MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC is it features dual 5G network support which means you can be able to use 5G high-speed internet on both sim slot with up-to 4.7Gbps download speed and 2.3Gbps upload speed. It comes with integrated 5G modem which makes it more power efficient. Dimensity 820 supports MediaTek’s APU 3.0 that helps in providing more powerful camera features and better AI scene recognition.
It comes with MediaTek 5G Ultrasave power saving technology which intelligently adjust the network conditions based on user activity. It comes with MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 technology which provides fast, smooth and power efficient performance at peak speed by intelligently managing hardware and software resources. The Chipset is aimed at Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G and 768G midrange 5G offerings.
Redmi 10X 5G said to be the first device which features this chipset and recently it’s AnTuTu benchmark got leaked and scored 415277 which is truly remarkable and on par with Snapdragon 765G and 768G 5G chipsets. The device will launch on May 26th.
