Huawei in an event today launched its flagship P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ smartphones. All the three smartphones comes in with impressive design, powerfuull specifications and good cameras. The last year’s P30 series reamined very much successful with fans loving that series all around the globe. The Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro plus come as the company’s flagship for 2020 and will take the legacy of P30 series forward.
Huawei P40: Specifications
The Huawei P40 comes with 6.1-inch display with a wide punch-hole. While the display is a Fulld HD+ Flex OLED screen but only supports 60Hz refresh rates. The device has been powered with the Kirin 990 chipset, fuelled with 3,800mAh battery and a maximum charging speed of 22.5W using a Type-C cable under the hood. The P40 comes in with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboared storage.
talking about the cameras, The Huawei P40 gets a Leica Ultra Vision triple camera set-up on the back side with main sensor of 50MP Ultra Vision Camera with 1/1.28-inch sensor, in addition to the main sensor the device has a 16MP of ultra-wide camera and a 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The Huawei P40 has a 32MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, IR Depth / Gesture Camera for pro bokeh, Face unlock, 4k video recording.
Talking about some others features the Huawei P40 include IP53 water and dust protection and HMS-based EMUI 10.1 which brings features such as Huawei share. The P40 comes in with In-display fingerprint scanner which Huawei claims to be 30% faster compared to the predecessor.
Huawei P40 Pro: Specifications
Of the three, it’s the P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ that are the true flagships for the year for Huawei. The two also share a number of specs across the board, including their display, The P40 Pro has a bigger display with 6.58-inch octa flex display which is curved on both sides. According To Huawei the display is capable of Quad HD+ resolutions and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device also supports DCI-P3 HDR colour gamut.
Under the hood, Huawei P40 has been powered with Huawei’s own Kirin 990 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and upto 512 on board storage. Huawei is claiming that this chipset, brings not only oodles of raw processing power but also a platform to power a number of key AI features -including many for its cameras. The device supports in-display fingerprint sensor.

both Huawei P40 and P40 pro comes in ome in Black, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White, Silver Frost and Blush Gold colors. Talking about the price, The Huawei P40 price has been set €799 (US$ 875 / Rs. 67,120 approx.), while the P40 Pro has been priced at (US$ 1095 / Rs. 82,125 approx.). Both the devices will be up for purchase starting April 7th.
